Daoist Yoga & Qi Gong
Course Overview
Daoist yoga and Qigong benefits are well documented; conditions known to respond well include fatigue, stress, anxiety, low mood, poor immunity, weak digestion, back/bone and muscle problems, menstrual dysfunction, blood pressure and arthritis. Qigong is a modern term for ancient Chinese Taoist exercises “Dao Yin”. These range from sitting, lying, standing to walking, moving, and dancing forms. Qigong can trace its origins all the way back to prehistoric times. The term itself literally means Energy Work. That is learning to work with ones’ own energy, and also with the relationship of ones’ own energy to others and the environment. A variety of Tai Chi and Qigong movements will be introduced over the course of the 10 weeks. As exercise forms Daoist Yoga and Qi Gong suit all people regardless of age, ability or gender.
