Course Overview
Salsa dance is one of the most popular latin dances in the world. In this course you will learn New York / LA style Salsa dancing. It originated in Cuba and it was then popularised in New York in the 1960s. Though typically a partner dance, there are also group dances and often steps can take the form of lines.
You will also learn some Merengue, being the easiest of all the Latin dances, and typically we will spend 15 to 20 mins on Merengue and 40 to 45 mins on Salsa. The emphasis will be placed on fun, and you will even have the opportunity to get a good workout.
Footwear - Being a beginner course runners / flat shoes are fine to wear.
